Why Coated Bullets?

COATED BULLETS ARE BETTER THAN BARE LEAD BULLETS

  • Buckeye Bullets is located in Canfield Ohio, and is a manufacturer of premium coated cast bullets. We cast our bullets from certified 92/6/2 alloy. We use HI-Tek Supercoat, it is a unique heat-set coating developed by J&M Specialized Products P/L in Australia.
  • Lead fouling is considerably reduced, in most cases effectively eliminated.
  • There is substantially less smoke normally related to traditional lead cast bullets.
  • Coating gives off no toxins or particulate matter when fired.
  • “HI-TEK Supercoat” is 100% non-abrasive Polymer coat, and contains no (PTFE or MOLY).
  • They run smoothly in most bullet feeders, and there is no wax lube to gum up your reloading dies.
  • They are totally safe to use in Glock’s polygonal rifled barrels.
  • Since our coating acts as a lubricant, your velocity is increased without lead fouling. (1,500fps or less. 1,750fps in rifles)
  • There is no chance of the wax melting or getting shaken out of the lube groove during shipping.
  • Make sure that there is adequate flare on the case mouth when seating the bullet, or coating could be scraped off, causing performance issues.
  • Your exposure to lead is significantly reduced, which gives an end result of cleaner hands, guns, and reloading equipment.

** We recommend using standard cast bullet loading data.**
